The Chief Technology Officer of Cook County official has announced that 2024 tax bills will probably be in the mail before the end of 2025. At the same time, Cook County government announced that they have set up a $300,000,000 fund that cash-strapped taxing bodies can borrow from, until the 2024 tax bills begin getting paid.
